About

Chantel Mathias is an adviser and specialist on secondary education in the UK.  From 1998 – 2008 she spent 10 years as a teacher & HoD of English and drama at an 11 – 18 comprehensive in Pembrokeshire. During this time she founded one of the UK’s most successful teaching resource websites for secondary English. From 2009 – 2013 she worked as Secondary English Subject Adviser at the Times Educational Supplement, managing the development of and creating high quality content for TES English.

You can view a small selection of the many English teaching resources she has commissioned, developed, edited and created here: Chantel Mathias – Sample Teaching Resources (DropBox).  The sample includes print-based classroom materials in addition to audio and interactive content on a range of topics and texts for key stage 3, GCSE and A level English.

More recently, Chantel has provided consultancy support in English and drama to the National Theatre’s Senior Digital Producer.

She is currently employed as Literacy and Numeracy Partner for the WG / CfBT’s National Support Programme.
